Wire sawing is the ideal solution for cutting through large, thick, or heavily reinforced concrete structures that are beyond the capabilities of traditional saws. At RDK Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc., we use diamond-embedded wire saws that deliver precise, clean cuts with minimal vibration. Our process begins with a careful site assessment to determine the safest and most efficient cutting plan. The diamond wire is then threaded through pre-drilled access points, creating a continuous loop around the structure. Powered by a specialized pulley system, the wire saw slices smoothly through concrete and steel reinforcement, leaving a clean edge and preventing damage to surrounding areas.

 

WHAT WE NEED

For an efficient and accurate wire sawing operation, we require clear access to the work area and adequate space to set up our equipment. The cutting surface should be free of debris, dirt, and standing water to ensure the wire saw performs at peak efficiency. Because the process requires water to cool the wire and control dust, we’ll also need access to a water source nearby. If a water connection is not available on-site, please advise us in advance so we can provide an appropriate water source. If the work is being conducted inside, adequate ventilation is also essential to maintain safe air quality. Providing these conditions allows us to work quickly, safely, and with the precision our clients expect.
